To suit all taste buds! Our favorite spring vegetables dish: white asparagus (I will have to check some of my posts where I claim: “This is my favorite dish” as they all seem to be).

This is also quite funny: I just bought baby potatoes and they are actually from Italy. So, when we are in Italy people love to buy the so called Dutch Potatoes. So how come when I buy potatoes in The Netherlands (potato country) they are from Italy? Interesting, good nonetheless.

Salad of potatoes, dressed up. Celery was originally used as a medicine and sometimes also fed to horses. I know that nowadays some people still wish it were only fed to the horses. Even for a non celery lover (like my husband), this dish is more than bearable! It’s also great to serve on the side at a party. I particularly like to use ‘dijonaise’ instead of a regular mustard. Whichever you choose, keep in mind that the taste of the mustard is strong and determines the impact of the whole dish.

Winter | Italian Stew with Sausages and Vegetables

Italian meets Dutch.
Try this fantastic potato stew full of southern taste! A southern taste of aubergine topped of with some juicy mozzarella cheese and thyme flavoured sausages. This doesn’t look like a regular Italian dish. It’s more of a mix between the Dutch potatoes hodgepodge and popular vegetables and herbs used in the Italian cuisine.

Potato remains were found all the way back to 500 BC. They were worshiped then and worshiped now. A life without potatoes is unthinkable to me.
